Hello! Leon Laszlo here, although that name should change soon ish.
I design systems during school hours and create a world in my free time. Now I'm a firm believer in being real and holding my own identity. I say this because I care about trust, because no amount of money can pay for that. My mom is an artist, and I think making games is an art. I'm a designer with focus on making you feel something.
I fucking love numbers, spreadsheets, data, analytics. I love organized documents, and ordered information. Data to me feels easy, numbers flow and if I understand the system I feel like I remember it better than the back of my own hand.
As such I love designing systems, editing them, making sure they are perfect, which is often impossible. In the future I hope to design even more complex systems, interconnected webs of thousands of data points. Others might call me insane with my spreadsheets, I call it art.
I've also done QA game testing work and got my diploma about two years ago, as such I enter design with a unique perspective, one that focuses on function and realistic expectations. So many games nowadays are released broken, I've come to understand in part how to fix, but more importantly how to avoid having it break in the first place when it comes to my work, and if something isn't working, I'll find out why... which happens a lot by mistake even when I'm playing games on my free time. "Once a QA, always a QA, such is the curse." My friends joke, which I don't mind one bit.
Alright I'm almost done writing like I'm talking to you, I just want to share one last thing! In my free time I host TTRPG campaigns, as of writing this I've run over 400+ Sessions mostly in DnD by WoTC but also other systems such as Lancer by Mastiff Press. I've even started GMing professionally for a group now and ran over 40 paid sessions though StartPlaying. I've been creating my world of Avoliof for over 6 years now, and been a GM for over 10 years and it's something I am proud of how far I've come. I love telling stories, and I love creating my own monsters, magical items, and battlemaps, and if I can bring over the same skills over to game development one day I'd be overjoyed.
That's all from me! Hope you have a lovely day. <3
